A few days ago I wrote about this passage:
The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up and he let none of his words fall to the ground. (1 Samuel 3:19)
I made a mistaken assumption when I read it the first time. I read it as if Samuel let none of God’s words fall to the ground. As I have been studying this passage for the past 2 weeks I see that it is actually God who lets none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground. That is a pretty powerful thing to say about a prophet. God was with Samuel and God made sure that everything that Samuel said came about.
I liked my idea about catching the words of God from a few days ago, but this is a better interpretation of the passage and it is pretty cool to boot.
