Catching the Vision
I feel, in the words of Bilbo Baggins, thin–like butter being spread of too much bread. We arrived home from camp on Saturday. On Sunday I spent all day working on a video for our share time. (It is really neat, but I have to fix a typo before I show it here or I will be torn apart). Today I spent the morning playing with my son and catching up on sleep and the afternoon getting ready for Bible school. Who ever knew that teaching 4th graders would require so much cutting. I mean for the money we pay Lifeway that can’t spring for a perforation machine? But that is a whole different post right there.
It has been a cool few days around here lately. My youth are starting to talk like people who are at least aware that other people are in the world. They are actively looking for ways that they can sacrifice in order to help others. The big plan this week is to buy a cow or other animal (I think they want to buy a pair of very large rats actually) that are used to help people become self-sufficient. I don’t know how long this will last, but right now I am smiling from ear to ear every time I talk to them.
