Creative Prayer Journal
Sorry about my lack of posts. I have been trying to keep my priorities straight and actually get some work done. Today I finished the creative prayer journals for our youth lessons. I am very excited about them. I just keep thinking, "I wish someone would have encouraged me to pray this way when I was a teenager."
My original plan was for these to be my first book published through lulu.com. But now I think I am going to try to find a real publisher first. But that would mean a delay of years before you guys got a chance to actually see it. So here is my plan. I am going to place a link to it in .pdf form here. The link will be active for 2 weeks so if you want it you can download it within those two weeks.
In addition to the normal creative commons licence that I have on the stuff here I would like to ask that you only use this in your local church setting and that you would not use this download again if there is ever a print version. Trust me, you will want the print version over this one.
I also would like to ask you to help me. I would love to hear any thoughts you have on the journal as a whole. The big thing that I want to fix is to go back and balance the activities better between the first and second halves. If I had written them all at the same time I would have spread out the "found prayer" activities for sure.
Also the middle "Raise the Training Wheels" section is mainly for a group that is going through it in 2 sections so you don’t actually need to include that. One thing that is in that section though is the mention of continuing in Bible study. This is a prayer journal not a Bible study book. It should be used in conjunction with daily Bible reading. (Maybe that is something I could add later, but that would add even more time)
Anyway, let me know what you think and I hope you can use it.
(I am in the process of formatting it for purchase, check back soon)
