For the first time I think I am old

Today I turned 33 years old. I don’t know why that year suddenly makes me feel older, but it does. Of course at the same time I still have a hard time thinking of myself as an adult. Maybe it is that I live my life with teenagers or something, but I don’t feel that much different than I did at 25. I wonder if by the time I hit 43 I will still feel like 25 or maybe then it will feel like 35. Who knows. Anyway, today I feel old.

    Shane, happy birthday!

I happened upon your site quite by accident, looking for drama ideas. I am quite impressed and found many resources. Thank you.

About feeling old, it just happens some times! Our bodies simply do that. Yet our hearts are what really keep us going and feeling young. I’m 48 and have been working with youth for almost 30 years and love how they keep me feeling young! God is so gracious to allow me to work along side these people. I am so blessed! I shall surely grow "old" when I no longer have them to encourage me and challenge me.

Besides, who really knows what 35 feels like! Remember when 30 was "over the hill?" Seems like I’m still climbing that hill! I love being 48 and so look forward to 49. I can’t wait to see what God has waiting for me there!

    Happy Birthday!
