Frank Banks Zombie Killing Training Program

This is what happens when I cancel an event and have to come up with something else for students to do. I let my mind go crazy and I get things like this.

I don’t think I get it. Was this just for fun, or was there a Biblical truth or point you were trying to get across? Don’t get me wrong, I’m OK with it either way, I’m just curious.

Also, this was the second movie you’ve done about zombies…do you have zombie issues? Do you have something against zombies? What did a zombie ever do to you?

The best part was the seeing the gal fighting with gentle slaps (pats) and the zombie falling to the ground defeated. I just laughed out loud.

Also, zombie movies are social commentaries (or at least that’s what our previous youth pastor told me). You can see what’s important to a society by where the people run to–a church, government building, the mall.

Just to clarify this was done at the same time as the other Zombie movie. We did the whole Thriller thing becuase I was trying to get B-roll of Zombies (which I ended up not using) and I thought it looked like the opening of the Thriller video so I had them do the dance. The sad thing was how few of them actually new the song.

I orignially did this video just because I thought the students would have fun with it. I also needed something to do as we walked from the place where we ate to the Dollar Tree.

Making movies is a fun was to interact with students, and it is a great way to get students to come back to church. That is why I didn’t post this video last week with the other one. I had to wait until the "premire" at church this week.

But I did actually use it as part of my lesson. Check out the "update" above for how.
