Google Adwords

I am taking Jose’s idea and putting up some Google ads here at Nailscars. I don’t know if I like it yet or not, but I thought I would give it a trial run. It generates revenues from people clicking on the ads so who knows if it will work or not. Of course if you want a cool nickname you will still have to donate.

I rarely click on ads of any sort (although I must admit really wanting to shoot one of those ducks from time to time to win a free iPod), but I have noticed the Google ads, as well as your donate one, give you a much needed splash of color to get away from the whole earth-tone thing you’ve got going on.

As far as me donating to your site, it’s not like you’ve ever donated anything to me. (That is, of course, dripping with sarcasm.)

If you take a look you will notice that there are a ton of things about cars. I wonder if Google is reading this sight at Nail’s cars and think I am some sort of used car salesman. So what happens if I write about D&D stuff will those ads come up? Now I am intrigued.

" -B, get off my couch!"

OK, I clicked on all the ads I could find, too. I didn’t win an iPod, but I start seminary in the fall.

great now I feel like I have to come up with something witty to say to keep Mrs. Myna Elizabeth entertained. I don’t know if I can handle the pressure!

I am easily entertained these days. Mainly due to lack of sleep. The only person missing from your group is Jared.

Did he really break out Myna? Isn’t that a bird or something?

As far as the iPod comment, have any of you shot any ducks on Shane’s ads? I didn’t think so. I’m referring to the stupid ones you see on other websites and pages, not quality ones like this one (being serious there), where you have to shoot ducks or spin a wheel to win a free iPod, RAZR phone, Hummer, etc. Shane probably had a few of those floating around back in the good ole days when he had the porn links on here.

I still haven’t received my free iPod, but now when someone calls my cell phone, it starts reading the book of Revelation to me until I answer it. People are starting to stare. Like Andrew, I start online seminary classes in the fall as well. I’m also attending church this weekend at a monastery in New Zealand for some reason. I’m not so sure about this adwords thing…

Was it a free trip to New Zealand? When they herd you into the room, don’t buy the condo. If you’re strong, they’ll let you leave without buying one.

This is actually kinda fun, Shane! Here’s the best one I’ve come across so far:

"Listen to Bible teaching, by Telephone.
Pick your country, call a phone number, and listen to a selection of several recorded Bible teaching items." It goes on to list some phone numbers that one could call.

Oh good, I get to make a long distance phone call so that a recorded message can tell me about Jesus! Yay! (Sadly, there are people that probably actually do this, or there wouldn’t be a market for it, would there?)

I wish I could join in on the fun, but the terms of my google license agreement keep me from clicking my own ads. I love the report though, thanks.

I recommend the pentecosatl/apostolic website if only for the cool background music that plays during the intro.
