Halo 3 Tournament

I really wish that people would invite their friends to church as much as they invite them to play video games. So we were set up to play Halo 3 tonight and I purposefully didn’t make a big deal about it. I announced it at church (where there weren’t many people last week) and I put it on the web site (where less than 15 people visit). But someone went crazy inviting people and we ended up with nearly 30 people. It was too many people from the start, but it worked well considering.

Eventually we set up 2 projector and 6 TVs with 8 XBOX 360s. It was a room full of cords and testosterone.

In youth I used to do these huge vids nights, with our youth, lots of TV’s projectors youth room and church basement packed with 40 some youth, but have since stopped doing that in the last 2 years. I have found in my case anyways too many kids were becoming addicts, I would visit with youth and they would tell me how all they do after school is play vids till NIGHT! So had to get away from that. I don’t think there is anything wrong in doing the vids thing, just in my scenario it was becoming too much for some kids…
