I’m Scared

For the past couple of days I have been in a funk. I have a ton of work to do, but I can’t seem to sit down and do it. I have figured out why. I am scared. On Wednesday I am heading to Nashville to begin the writing process for a 4 week unit for their Life Focus curriculum. I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of words that I am going to need to produce in a short time. On top of that the word “DEADLINE” terrifies me more than I want to admit. They say that admitting you have a problem is the first step to healing so “Hello, My Name is Shane and I am afraid.”

Would this be a bad time to mention November is National Novel Writing Month? Fifty thousand words in 30 days.
I only mention this because embrace crappy writing, if only to get through that first draft and actually get you writing.
Writers write. That’s who you are. I believe you can do it.

I had plans to participate in National Writers Month this year, but this job came up and changed my plans.
