Information Junkie

I may have confessed this before, but I am an information junkie. I love to learn new things, even if what I am learning is utterly useless. I stumbled across www.howstuffworks.com the other day when I was looking for a sword forging video and I haven’t been able to stay away since. It calls to me in my dreams. It isn’t like I really need to know how stuff works, but I love to just flip through the site chasing links and learning the inner workings of water towers and cell phones and about a hundred other things that I don’t really need to know.

I don’t know why, but lately the desire to learn more stuff is growing. It may be because I am (Vanderbilt just pulled to within 10! Dang it!) feeling like I have taught the youth all that I have to teach them, or it may just be for the first time in a year it seems like I have some disposable time and what better way to fill it than learning what makes microwave popcorn pop. Anyway, there really isn’t any reason for this post just wanted to confess a bit.
