Long Live WiFi
I can’t believe that I went to college without a computer (I bought my first one my sophomore year) and I didn’t really even worry with getting the email provided by Auburn until my third year, and now I get all teary eyed when I find a place with WiFi. I don’t know if this really is a good thing because I need to sleep a bit, but it is cool to know that I have it.
For the first time in 4 years we weren’t the last group to arrive at camp. We were here actually a little early with a smaller group than we have taken in a few years. Part of me misses all of the people, but I love the smaller group. It just feels like we can get to know each other better. I love coming to camp because one of the things I always learn is how good I have it at my church. The staff did a dance in the opening celebration tonight and the camp director in adult meeting was obviously worried about controversy because he called it a “creative movement” and passed out the lyrics of the song so we could see that it was a good message. Why is it that Baptists are so afraid of dancing? I mean it is actually in the Bible!
Anyway, it is cool to remember that I have a good thing going where I am.
I miss my son more than I thought I would. I can’t wait to see him again.
