My Makeshift Studio

100_2173.JPGI am still working on the video, but I will put it up here when I get it finished. But I wanted to finally post the pictures of my thrown together studio. On the right you will notice the T-Shirt material that I am using to diffuse the light. On the left you will notice the foam board that I am using to fill in the shadows of my "talent." I really didn’t think that the foam board would work, but it was amazing how different it looked when I put it there. The final results look so good that even Meredith said they looked good. (of course she could have been being nice).

I forgot to add a back light so instead of 3-point lighting I just had 2 points, but next time…

You will also see my camera is mounted on a gorillapod.  I just got one of these cool little things and it is great for attaching the camera to crazy places. For this application I have just attached it to the top of an old tripod. Why don’t I just use the tripod? You ask. Well, because I can’t seem to keep a tripod for longer than a week without losing the little quick release plate that attaches to the camera. I think it sneaks out at night with the missing socks from the dryer.
