Netflix

If you are an Xbox user you know that the new dashboard dropped today. I am excited about having avatars and the new user interface feels much more natural, but the greatest thing would have to be the streaming movies from Netflix. Sure you could watch them on your computer before, but who wants to watch movies on a computer.

For me the coolest things are the movies that I can’t find at my local store. I already have 2 documentaries in my cue (Helvetica and King Corn) and I plan to watch many more before my 2 week trial is over.

    Dude,

    It’s freaking awesome!
My only hope is that more and more movies become available.

I was just telling my wife that I watched an 80 minute show on a typeface last night (Helvetica). She didn’t understand, but I was enthralled by it. I love documentaries that are just relaying information. When they have some huge agenda or there is a narrator trying to preach at me (even if I agree with the preaching) I get bored pretty quickly, but when they are just slice of life stuff I am all in. Helvetica is really cool because it is a whole new world of people. These typographers see everything differently and it was cool to hear from them. I never imagined that the typeface that seems to be everywhere these days actually had an artist who made it.

I did like the movie part of it. Being able to pick a show for Nathan and for me without even having to leave the house is pretty cool.
