No More Time

Come on, you didn’t really think that I was going to keep making regular posts after I got an Xbox 360 did you? Let me just report and say that I am a Galaga God; it makes me sad how bad I now am at Street Fighter (I was once great at that game) and I am never last at Call of Duty 2 (but I am always close).

If you haven’t played with the new 360 yet and you have a Media Center version of windows then you really should check it out. While I am playing games on my TV in the living room I can stream music in from my computer in the guest room. I can also watch movies that I have on my computer (not divx support really sucks, but it is still a cool feature) and I can check out pictures of Nathan in a big full screen slide show. But of course the coolest feature of the 360 is the fact that I can turn the system on and off with my wireless remote. That way I never have to get my lazy butt up off the couch. I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!

Would you classify yourself as a Galaga God, or a Galaga god? Just curious.

Apparently you haven’t seen my Galaga skills or you wouldn’t have to ask. One day soon I will be on top of the leaderboard.

I played some Galaga on Parker’s PS2, but wasn’t too hot. On the coin-op version, I used to be pretty decent – could even switch hands when my right one got tired of shooting……Ahhhh, the good ole days. As for today’s stuff, if you can’t beat the bad guys with one stick and one button, what’s the point?

Do they make a "Satan’s Hollow" for the 360?

  4. The Average Youth Minister says:

No Satan’s Hollow for the 360, but in my "I don’t care about intellectual property days" I had a MAME emulator that had it. It wasn’t as fun as I remembered.

Anybody wanna ride up to Minit Mart for some Heavy Barrel?

What was the name of the one with the dune buggies where, when you got shot, it like hurt your butt? I dropped many a quarter on the game.

Sidenote: I was getting ready for work this morning, and had VH1 on. Don’t ask me why, but VH1 was on. I’m in the bathroom brushing my teeth, and hear a song that sounds vaguely familiar. I make my way to the tv, and see a bald guy in a bright pink shirt with a vest on, dancing on a treadmill with 3 other guys. Shane, ahead of the curve once again. I still don’t see "muskrat good" catching on, though.

I have spent this afternoon "enjoying" the labours of your work from here in the North of Scotland- An area of straight jacket presbyterianism.

    I am greatly encouraged.

    X box 360’s are good.
