Simple Nathan Report

We gave Nathan his first actual bath tonight. He loved the water and was calm and relaxed the whole time he was in there. Of course the moment he came out he cried, but that is a different story. Also, is there anything scarier than holding a wet baby. He was like a wet noodle or something.

Have you come to terms with the fact that Nathan isn’t going anywhere soon? I mean, has it set in that his life is your responsibility?

I’ve heard stories of new parents leaving the hospital in shock that the newborn is coming home with them without an army of nurses and orderlies.

I haven’t really grasped the fact that he isn’t going to stay this size forever. I mean I know that he is going to grow, and I can’t wait to be able to actually run and play with him, but I forget sometimes that this isn’t all that there is to him.

I still haven’t quite wrapped my head around the whole "he is mine forever" thing either. It is almost more than I can really understand.

oh – it is so sweet to read of these first weeks of parenthood… I remember them so well! Wait till you take him in the shower with you… its awesome!

I have really enjoyed reading some of your ideas for gatherings and worship. I am assuming it is ok for us to utilize them? Is there any particular way you’d like to be mentioned, or just on printed stuff? Let me know.

Use it however you want. If you are just going to use it in a worship service then don’t worry about giving credit.

If you are going to reprint it for others to then take then email me and I will give you details for use.
