So who is heading to Tarsus?

As I watch this second hurricane head towards Houston I can’t help but think of all of the poor people who were moved from the Superdome to the Astrodome. What would you be thinking if you were a refugee from one of the biggest storms ever and suddenly another impossibly huge storm seems to be headed at you again? I know if I were them I would start surveying everyone to see if there was anyone named Jonah. I bet tonight there will be announcements over the loud speaker, “Will the person who is running from God please stop and do what he is calling you to do. If this persists we will cast lots to find out who you are and throw you out!”

If don’t know what my argument would be if they told me they were mad at God. If I were in their shoes I think I would be mad too. Of course they may know better than anyone since Jonah the futility of standing against Him.

Let me clarifying where I said Jonah was heading. I hate people who intrinsically know how to spell everything. I know that Jonah was heading to Tarshish, I just wasn’t sure how to spell it so I faked it from what was in my head. Looking back I do see that it looks like the place where Paul was from, but that wasn’t intentional, just my bad spelling attempt at getting that place right.
