I Am Mining Coal

I Am Mining Coal

Part of what I wanted to do for our Faithcraft Bible study was to come up with a song (I had a vision of 3 songs, but only got around to writing one) that would use Minecraft elements while also having a Christian message. My son loves Minecraft parody songs, so I figured it was time that the Christian world had one. So I wrote this song. It is based off of the song “I Am Free.” I included a quick video that I made while I was practicing so that you can get an idea of how to play and sing it (hopefully better than I did).

When we do this at our Faithcraft meeting the kids love to scream the echo as loud as they can. Not exactly high art, but it gets them involved.
