The “un”s

I have a sermon series idea that probably won’t ever come to fruition so I will throw it out here and see if it inspires anyone else.

The idea is to talk on the UNs of what we should be with God.

  • Undignified
  • Unashamed (Unshackled)
  • Unguarded
  • Undone
  • Unafraid to face the world

Anyway, some of these are similar, but I thought they would be fun. If you have any others let me know.

    You could also find "UN’s" that you shouldn’t be with God:
    * Unavailable
    * Unattractive
    * Unappreciative

    I just remembered the song (M.W. Smith maybe) that is "I have never been unloved." It goes on to all of the things that I have been, but I have never been unloved. See there is even more information. Someone write this lesson for me please.

    Mercyme has a beautiful song called "Undone". Take a listen if you get a chance. May be a good intro to the Undone sermon if the series does come to fruition!

    God Bless!!

    We’re singing Never Been Unloved for our ending song on Good Friday – slower than usual, but I was in tears at rehearsal, thinking of all the "un" things I shouldn’t be, but I am, have been, and probably will be. But I’ve never been unloved.

    It gives you cause to stop and think about it alot. It would make a good lesson. I like thinking about what I should be "Un" to God and what I shouldn’t be……. interesting.

    How about "unquenchable"? unstoppable or unashamed?

    A lot of these things are discussed in Matt Redman’s book "The Unquenchable Worshiper" – a great book, by the way.
