War Eagle

It was a blowout so I won’t take the time to type my song again. (Check out this post if you want to read it) After my marathon work week I have been avoiding anything that looked like real work all afternoon. I have spent most of it trying to figure out what would be the best way to take this blog and the nailscars.com site.

But then I started feeling guilty that my youth site has been "temporary" for over a year now and the pictures are even older. Now that we are working towards a name/identity change I wanted to start trying to have a web site that is a little easier to edit (so that students can help me) and that includes a blog. I would love to also include a place where students can add to the blog. I have always wanted to create a web community for our students, but I haven’t found the right thing yet.

I am playing with Mambo and WordPress and some other little ideas, but I’m still not sure what I want. I like the ease of SquareSpace for me, but I don’t think it will work for our student thing.

On another note I have become a full time Firefox user and while I still find myself looking for my other "widows" (which are actually tabs) at the bottom instead of at the top, I have finally gotten the hang of this thing and I I love it. If you install it you need to get the CustomizeGoogle and the Google Preview extensions. There are more that I will play with over the holidays I hope.

By the way, I was thinking of taking my wireless router with me to my family’s house for the holidays. Is it possible to just hook that router up to their cable modem or will it be a bigger pain than it is worth?

Unplug their computer from the cable modem, and plug your router into it. Plug their computer back into the router instead of the modem, and everyone should be good to go. Give me a call if you want me to come help set it up, you’ll know where to find me. Mayfield isn’t that big of a town. ;-)
