What I’m Learning this Week

I have been playing around with my camera and found out a few things. My camera will actually shoot RAW files. I have owned this thing for almost 3 years now and had no idea. The only thing is that you have to come off of the AUTO mode in order for it to shoot them. Well, I know nothing about cameras. You would think that all of the time that I spend taking pictrues something would have just rubbed off, but it didn’t. So I have been trying to learn how to take better pictures.

Today was a great gray day here in Eufaula. It just looked like cool picture weather, so I got Nathan dressed and we went out to an old train track and took some shots. I almost didn’t get this picture. I wanted him to sit down facing towards the inside of the track, but instead he sat like this and then looked over his shoulder at me. It was perfect, but I wasn’t in position to take the picture yet. I ened up slipping and scraping my leg in my scrable to push the button before he got bored and moved.

As it turns out I had accidentaly bumped up the ISO (which I still have no clue what that means, but I do now know that it means that your picture gets more noise in it) so this amazing picture really is too grainy looking to print as large as I want. But I thought this style of picture would look cool here. Click on the picture for a larger version.

I thought you would like that. You should see the ones of him standing on the train.
