Youth Ministry Podcast
I have been looking around for a youth ministry podcast. The only ones I can find are ones where they are recording their Wednesday night talk. I’m not really interested in weekly sermons. I am looking for a place where people discuss what it means to be a youth minister, do some project reviews, give some new programing ideas, and the bash the older people in their church for being too rigid. There are a number of traditional blogs like this so I figured that those perennial early adopters youth pastors would be jumping on board. If you find anything like that let me know. If there isn’t anything out there I would love to do something like that myself, but that would mean someone would have to add another day to my week.
Wouldn’t an extra day be great. Why don’t we get together as a country and vote an extra day into our week. How cool would that be. We could add an extra day between Saturday and Sunday and call it Shaneday. It would be added to every week except for the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. That would mean that we would 49 extra days which works out to be 7 weeks. So we could add an extra week to July (since that is during summer vacation) and take out February and October (2 months that don’t really have much going for them. We could move their holidays around.) It needs so tweaking, but I think it would be great. If I could actually get another weekend day that I didn’t have to go to church I could get some work done.
Hello, I’m Todd, I’m the Youth Pastor at At The Gateway City Church in Beaverton, OR. I did some podcasting back in Oct ’04 and would like to start podcasting again. Want to chat over skype/gizmo/google talk/AIM/Email to see if a podcast together would work? Hit me up!
oops! Email is mark923 {at} gmail {dot} com
You chose to eliminate Corey’s birthday month and Caleb’s – I am sure am glad you and I share July birthdays.
Sorry, I forgot one important fact all people born in those months can choose an alternate birthday.
